The only thing around the gorge that’s as much fun as playing in the waves might be flying through the trees. Our area is home to 3 different zipline canopy tours, and one amazing “racing zipline” that’s nearly a half mile long. To see the newest attractions in the New River gorge, just look up.

Fayetteville, West Virginia is the launch pad for great bike rides throughout the gorge, from the easiest beginner trails to the toughest single track you’ll ever hope to see. Two bike shops in town provide friendly service and information to visitors, and the many outfitters in the area provide tours.
The canyon walls of the New River Gorge have long been known in the climbing community as some of the most scenic rock climbing in North America. Here in the gorge, it’s easy for families, groups, and beginners to discover the excitement of a sport that’s as fun as it is safe. All of the white water rafting outfitters offer climbing trips around the area, and the climbing schools in town can offer specialized instruction to anyone and everyone.
If you’ve never fished for smallmouth bass before, now’s your chance. The New River is some of the best smallmouth fishing anywhere, and the area is home to just the right guides to show you how. Rank beginner or seasoned angler, there’s every reason in the world to spend a day fishing on the New.
